Hey there,

Welcome to Careerguide.com!!!

This is what I call an Achiever and a foresighted person. Good that you have set your goals and would be definitely working towards it. Also please do remember that obstacles in terms of percentage would always be a hindrance but you should not give up.

As such every year counts. But there is nothing to get disheartened. Since you have scored less in your 10th, it would be good, if you could secure admission in any college nearby your area.

Since to get admission into IT, i.e a B.Sc IT or BCA, you need to have studied Math in your 12th. So hoping you have secured admission in any college as per your scorecard and have chosen Math as a subject. Now just forget your percentage in 10th. Concentrate well and study smartly. Do not rote learn. Any concept you find difficult get it clarified from your teacher or friends. Please avoid last moment study. Make chits of the formulas or study materials and keep revising them.

Solve as many papers as you can of the past few years and become selective. If you are leaving a particular chapter, just scan through it so that any question asked and as a last resort, you could write a little on it in your own words and score. Please note that, your score in the 12th is important to secure admission into colleges or university of your choice. Once you secure admission in a good college, your dream of getting into a big IT firm is halfway through.

But do not get disheartened, if you do not score well. Please note that there are few students who have the ideas that are outstanding and creative, but do not have the capacity to express it in their papers or during exams and dont score, but they do well once they are in the industry.

These days the organizations consider performance in intermediate, so, don't get panic rather rest assured that you'll certainly get an opportunity to live your dream to work in an IT company. You must opt for non-medical science stream in your 11 and 12, do wonderfully well, prepare well and qualify JEE with flying colours and get admission in B.Tech IT or else you can pursue B.Sc.IT/BCA/B.sc.CS as well, whatever appeals to your mind, But make sure that you choose a high profile institution for your degree, like - College of Engineering, Pune,.................BITS, Pilani,....................PEC University of Technology, Chandigarh,.......
