Dear Aspirant,

What do you mean that you did not get success? Success in terms of what are you talking about? Is it salary, promotion, work profile, etc.?

I feel, by working for two years, you are asking too much and too fast. In the industry, you need some years to understand it and then excel.

Mechanical Engineering as a qualification is fine, but are you taking efforts to upgrade yourself after 2014? The world and industry are changing every year and are you adapting to the changes in real terms? Today the work force should also relearn and unlearn things. You need to learn more about the industry and work.

Again the same mistake what everybody does. Is MBA a magical stick that it will immediately change your career and give you what you unrealistically dream of? MBA would not help you immediately as an engineer if you wish to remain in the engineering field (technical field). You need to get atleast five years of experience in order to climb the management ladder and then an MBA in General Management will help. More than MBA, I would suggest that you should get certified in Project Management from PMI USA.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT is the key to a good career in mechanical industry.

Best wishes

Hello Rahul,

Since you have 2 years of experience now opting for higher studies is an obvious route.

But why an MBA and not a postgraduation degree.

Though doing management is a trend these days but pursuing it with a goal in mind is essential. What are your plans in future. Answering this will give you a direction and help you grow.

Other than MBA a project management course could be more beneficial.

Choice is yours.

Wish you good luck....
