Dear Aspirant,
Shifting after a substantial work experience of 13 years in the core field to a non core field like Marketing based on PGDBA seems tough but not impossible.
Your salary may take a beating since the salary which you may be getting at this level, may not be what you get if you get a marketing profile job.
Can I know the basic reason, why do you wish to change into marketing? Why did you choose Marketing over PGDBA in Operations or Supply Chain, etc.

Firstly would like to know, why you wish to shift roles after a huge experience of 13 years.
This experience of yours could help you progress to better positions in the same field.
As Dr. Anandjee has rightly said that just based on your PGDBA in marketing, you would not reach to the peak of your career at the initial stage.
Please note as a matter of fact that if you shift to a Marketing role, you would begin from the ground level.
Preferably if you take up the marketing role in the same organization and domain still can help you start from one level up, since your basic knowledge is at its best.
