Hi Rakesh ,

With your MBA - Marketing, try Service industry, like insurance, banking, education etc. That way, your BPO-experience and MBA will be in sync and justifiable in future too.

Best Wishes,
Sumit

Dear Rakesh, thank you for posting your question on this forum.

Reading on your question, I understand you have a four year experience in the BPO backend operations. You may be aware what [BPO][1] ventures or equips a person into. You would have developed strong customer service skills through your BPO exp. The other skills you may have developed are effective business communication skills, negotiating skills, effective delivery skills and customer management skills. (Please remember effective customer service and customer management are entirely different but go hand in hand) However you would have developed all these skills through your BPO work life which you can actually transforn in an another industry.

You have mentioned that you have done an MBA in marketing and finance along. This is certainly a good directional choice to be able to work in any other customer service industry. As you have come with a marketing and finance background, you will be an efficient worker in 'relationship management', 'customer management' 'priority business banking manager' profiles. Therefore you can opt to work in either of these roles in the banking industry. For example ICICI bank, Axis bank, Standard Chartered or any other private bank will need profiles like you and you can work for them in the above mentioned job profiles.
1. Relationship management :
You can choose to work for relationship management job profiles. Here you will be dealing with specific business relationship customers where you offer your bank's financial products and services as per their needs. So for every business customer, you will be the first point of contact from the bank side. This way you will ensure you keep up the relationship with your business / corporate customers.
2. Customer management:
In this job profile you will be involved with non business customers like the general public who hold accounts with your bank. You will be either at the customer service end where you pick phone calls or emails to solve queries or you will be based at the walk in desk where customers walkin to the branch to meet with you and inquire on your bank's products and services.

3. Priority business banking manager:
In this job profile you will be working for both business and non business customers but the highlight is, it is for customers who choose priority banking service account. This means they need priority service with no wait. So you need to be very efficient in your customer service skills in these profiles.

Your MBA marketing knowledge will come in hand in these job when you effectively market your banks services and the finance knowledge will help you to understand the banks financial products better. So you will be a perfect fit to be able to work in the banking and service industry. My best wishes to you.
