Dear friend, thank you for your question. This is very practical question and is also important from career point of view. Here you have not mentioned your degree, are you a graduate or post graduate or having a doctoral degree in Fishery Science. Since you have written a degree in Fishery Science, I believe you must be having a PG degree.

After having a degree i Fishery Science, you have many options both in scientific / academic field and in management. You are a technical person, have knowledge of fishery culture, breeding and other related disciplines. If you obtain the degree of MBA either in marketing or human development or management. Then you will have openings in multinational companies and private companies. Here you can work in the

Fishery Scientist

management stream. You can look after the managing the fish culture, rearing of fishes, breeding of fishes, nutritional aspects of fishes. You will be monitoring the the technical persons. This will give you an edge over a simple MBA person. Since you also hold a technical degree of Fishery Science, therefore you can also monitor the technical or scientific aspects.

If you obtain the degree in human resource management then, you will be having only office people monitoring job. But you may be involved in capacity building of technical persons in your department.
If you wish to work in academic or scientific field, then you can pursue your higher studies in Fish molecular biology, biotechnology or genetic engineering. This subject has huge scope both in India and abroad.

As a molecular biologist or Genetic engineer, you can join university / institutes of multinational companies involved in molecular biology aspects. If you work in India, then your salary will be decent but if you try to find job in western hemisphere or Middle East countries then you an satisfy your job hunger and economically you will be more viable.

As a fishery scientist you may also start your own business. You are well verse with fish technology, the rearing, breeding and culturing. Here you have to find market and your product will be easily consumed. On the other hand, if you open your own fish products out let then you will be second to none in profession.

Finally, as fishery scientist, you may undergo some software courses, related to fish culture and breeding. You may use this technique for fish growth and multiplication monitoring purpose in a particular area.

Good Luck...
