Hello Smayra,
Happy dusshera. Happy awakening too. Its always good to know ones strengths before jumping into conclusions.
Please note CAT though has other sections like logic, verbal, analogies and quantitative, but their major focus is on quantitative aptitude.
Since you have mentioned being weak in math, here I would suggest, try focusing on understanding the concepts. Stop thinking about not being able to answer like other students or your weakness. If your aim is to crack CAT, focus mainly on understanding and clearing your doubts.
Solve as many quantitative papers possible. Try finding shortcuts that could help you.
Still if you find it difficult, I would suggest focus on CET and other entrance exams which are less difficult than CAT. But will also advice to appear for CAT so that your base is set and you are prepared.
Hope this helps.
Wish you good luck..
Dear Aspirant,
If you feel that at the basic you lack the mathematical aptitude, I find no point for you to continue for CAT coaching.
Are you determined that you want to do MBA only and nothing else? CAT 2016 is very near and you seem to have now realised that you will not be able to make it to the final list of IIMs.
I would suggest that now that you have spent on CAT coaching and that the CAT is now very near, you should give your 100% of what ever you know and can attempt. It is not that your CAT score is only for IIMs, that can be used for non IIM colleges too in India.
Please take the Ideal Career Test from CareerGuide.com to find out what career is suitable to your according to your aptitude, interests, likings and innate abilities and skills. The psychometric test results will be instant.
Best wishes
In order to post replies to the question: "I have been attending CAT coaching, but my math is very weak, and everybody else seems to be answering questions except me in class. I can't even approach the questions. How do I go about it and improve myself so I can score well in the CAT2016?"
