Hello My Dear Career Aspirant,

Good to see that you are a graduate and aspiring for a career in information technology / computers. DIT course from NIIT is a good course, but would like to know did NIIT give you any placement assistance after completion of the DIT course?

I am glad that you decided to approach CareerGuide.com for seeking guidance and advice to your career query. I am sure that the experts here will be able to guide you appropriately.

I think you wish to ask that how you can proceed in your career now.

NIIT:

NIIT is really a good computer education Institute and its courses are recognised and accepted by the industry.

DIT seems to be a basic level course into information technology. Graduation and DIT course currently may be able to get you a job in the IT industry etc. however I would like to say that the job you will get will not be very challenging, exciting and well paying. The job you will get will be of very basic nature, monotonous, low paid and then you will feel frustrated and disappointed.

Future career progression:

I would like to strongly suggest you to think for a solid post graduation based on your graduation.

I would like to suggest two options here:

1. Since you are interested in the information technology industry, I would suggest you to take up MCA course from a good university and Institute. MCA is a very industry and recognised and accepted course to enter into the information technology industry. MCA candidates get very good salaries, good job profiles, exciting work and opportunities. With an MCA you will also have a masters degree with you.

2. If not MCA, I would like to suggest you to pursue another advanced / hig level course from NIIT itself where that particular course will make you eligible for placement assistance by NIIT. NIIT placement record is very good.

I would like to put forth here that doing an advanced level course and or post graduation is a must now and the industry demands and prefers post graduates for jobs. To stand out in the competition, I would definitely suggest you to do post graduation which will give good salary, society status, good company to work for.

All the Best!
