ARMY:

System of Selection:
You have number of ways to get into army. One can join after School or on completion of Graduation.Selection procedure is impartial,objective and uniform which aims for to select the BEST.

Types of Commission:
There are two types of commission Permanent and Short Service Commission. Permanent Commission (PC) is granted by Indian Military Academy(IMA) Dehradun and Short Service Commission through Officer Training Academy(OTA) Chennai. If you opt.'PC' you get a permanent service till you retire and if you opt 'SSC' you have a wonderful option if you aspire to serve for few years.Once your tenure is over you can aplly for 'PC'.

PERMANENT:

1.NDA- After 10+2(through UPSC)
2.Direct Entry (Through UPSC)
3.Engineering Graduates-TGC
4.University Entry Scheme 10+2 TES

SHORT SERVICE:
1.Non-Tech (Both Men and Women)
2.Tech(Both Men and Women)
3.NCC Special Entry(Both Men and Women)
4.Law Graduates(Both Men and Women)

POLICE:


You have to decide which type of police officer you want to be:
State or Central.

Eligibilty:
1.Age 22-30years
2.Physical test
3.Written Exam
4.Training Period

OR
you can become IPS officer through UPSC exams.
You have to give Prelim Exam(Objective Type),after clearing Prelims you can give Main Exam(Written test), after mains you have Interview.

No. of Attempts:
1.General-4
2.OBC-7
3.SC/ST- No limit

Special requirements for IPS:
1.Min. height 165cm for men.
2. Min. chest girth fully expanded 84cm for men.
3.Total amount of Myopia( including the cylinder) should not exceed minus 4.00 D and total amount of Hypermetropia(including cylinder) should not exceed plus 4.00 D.
4.Presence of Squint is disqualification.
