Before going for admission procedure you must explore the relevant prospectus in details for both IIT madras and delhi and find the incidental features and then decide which you suit as you know both are having the equal stature in academic and research.
As you have the qualification for appearing in entrance test just you work as per the detail syllabi available on line at IIT Madras and Delhi for MS Research and accordingly you prepare for the same.

As you are an aspirant of MS Research so IIT will expect the essential understanding of research and technological inputs from your side. Therefore you are advised to explore the publication list of concerned faculties at IIT madras and delhi and read the interesting paper and develop your understanding accordingly. Better you make an interesting project proposal based on the statement of your purpose and propose it while being interacted with the panel after written test. These exercise based inputs are very important for IIT candidature. I hope you understand my opinion as I am giving you clear indication that you are one of the potential candidates for IITs.

Focus on your desired specialization and draw the line of similarity between your studied materials and offered module at MS level. At the same time if your dissertation at UG level is interesting then project it for the further scope at IIT level for the MS research. As you know the credit system of such program where maximum weigh is given at research side out of four semesters one will be course work and three will be dedicated for research project so estimate the length of your project and the required tenure. As you know IITs give you the exposure at international level where they have the collaborative research project.
