As per my knowledge Eiilm University Sikkim does not have permission to run distance learning courses and have been asked to shut all such courses. However, you can also file an RTI with UGC to reconfirm the same. Any such unrecognised degree does not hold good for govt jobs.

Please note for future reference, that before you opt for a course, you must always check its website for its recognition. If it is UGC recognised, you would have no issue for a job or further studies.
A UGC approval would mean the University is recognised.
