Firstly congrats on clearing engineering from one of the deemed universities.

This is one of the confusions students generally face after their graduation.
But do not worry.
It would be advisable, that you think on your own terms and conditions than just following the herd.
You need to take into consideration your state of mind, whether you wish to begin to apply your knowledge to the work field, or you wish to get an in-depth knowledge first and also consider your resources.
Dont worry, that once you work, you cannot focus on study, its your capacity and the need for success which will automatically guide you.

You would have to now make a choice. Whether you wish to specialise and undertake a masters program or you would like to get a hang of the industry and then depending on the need of the hour specilise further.
Sometimes you straight away jump into the masters program without knowing the industry demand, and then once you join a job, you would have to take a break just to get yourself updated as per industry standards. So it would be good,if you could work, and then depending on the need decide for a masters level program.
Also if you are good with your job, luck may be on your side,the company may sponsor you.

So just don't get swayed with others decision and blindly follow them, also don't get attracted to the money part ( salary). It would follow you once you are well equipped with the knowledge.

Choose wisely.
