Hello My Dear Job Aspirant,


I understand that you are a BTech 2013 pass out and yet not able to find a job. Not getting a job even after getting a good graduation degree is really sad however this has been the reality of late in these years. In my more than seven years of career counselling experience, I have seen some graduates who have scored well in their graduation but are not able to get a job because they may be fail in the interview or have high expectations from the companies or may be also have high level of confidence about them selves which is not in real.

BTech course:

BTech course is really a wonderful course and I suppose that you have done it from a recognised University and AICTE approved engineering college. I also suppose that you have satisfactory marks.

Did any companies visit your college for placements? Did you appear for the interview? What according to you is the reason that you have not got job yet? Have your batch mates got jobs or are they also unemployed? Is not getting a job due to some fault of the engineering college or is it because of lack of skills and competencies within you due to which you have not been able to get a job offer?

I think if you can clarify about the questions above, then it would be better for the experts here to guide you more better and exactly.

However assuming some things, I would definitely advice you.

Degree and Job are not dependent:

You need to understand that just a graduation degree is not a gaurantee for a job. Since business has become very dynamic and complex, the industry demands the updated knowledge skills sets from the candidates. Companies today require not just paper graduates, but actually require candidates who have knowledge which can be put to use for their business and productivity.

Project Management:

Since you are an Engineer, I would like to recommend you a course in Project Management. Project Management knowledge is required in the industry today and so you should get this knowledge and make your self updated and upgraded for the industry.
