I have inter and passed the following year. I think hotel management is the best for me as I am good in English, engaging scialy and can handle pressure. I want to know if there are any more to be successful in HM. I wuld be thankful if yu culd help me!

Firstly congrats that you have made your choice.

 

Secondly how do you know you can handle pressure and what pressure will you face in the Hotel Industry.

Not that I am trying to say you dont have the traits, but I want you to enhance the trait by picking up on experience and modify according to the situation.

Apart from the skills you have mentioned, you need other qualities like:

  • Fluent in other languages especially the state you are working in. eg. If you working in Mumbai or Pune knowing Marathi is essential
  • Humorous
  • Logical and creative
  • Having good contacts
  • Knowledge on current happenings
  • Interacting skills with all kinds of people
  • Knowledge on different cuisines

Mainly work on the logical, creative and humorous skills. You can deal with any customers and win them too.
