Hello Khushagra,

Congratulations on passing 10th.

Hope you have certain characteristics like

  • Being witty
  • Language / communication skills
  • Research oriented
  • Foresightedness
  • Persistent

The above characteristics are needed to be successful as a Lawyer apart from academics.

After 10th, you have 2 options.

  1. Opt for 11th and 12th any stream. Appear for CLAT and pursue a 5 years degree in LAW.
  2. Pursue Graduation any stream. Then appear for CLAT and pursue a 3 years degree course.

Choice is yours.

Though there are private institites that offer a LAW degree, without entrance exam I say CLAT because these institutes are recognised by the Bar Council of India. And hence your degree would be a recognised one.

Please note internship is a must. Being patient and working under a lawyer is essential to build up your skills. Secondly, choose a specialization that you think fits your ability and personality. Third important factor here is incase you hapoen to choose corporate law then pursue CS too. Helps in the long run.

Wish you good luck.
