Firstly why do you wish to do a diploma????
Secondly what has gender got to do with a career choice???
My suggestion would be, in-case engineering is your choice, then to begin with Diploma is a good option. Since after Diploma you have a lateral entry into the 2nd year degree course.
But in any other field, though Diploma is available, I would strongly recommend you to opt for a degree course.Unless there is any other issue.
For you to decide which course, as the counselor Anandjee, has mentioned, it would be good to undergo an Aptitude tests, whereby you would get a clearer picture about your potentials and can make a confirmed choice.
