Firstly since you have secured admission to SRM University is itself a good achievement. And now you have a year back, which speaks that you are casual and do not value the admission you have got. What is the reason for a year back when I suppose you have taken up the course as per your choice?
You should definitely continue. Failure once does not mean that the course you are doing is wrong for you. The reason why you failed is important here.
