Hi Dipak..

It's a good decision.

Please take Marketing as a specialization as 9 out of 10 jobs are of marketing and sales.

You may expect a package starting from 4.2 Lpa.

If your college is a good one, may start with 6 lpa.

Further you may talk with me for better understanding.

Best wishes

Himanshu

Hello Dipak,

Good to know you are interested in MBA.

Please note the basic requirement to pursue an MBA degree is a graduation in any stream.

After graduating, you would have to clear the entrance exam, namely:

  1. CAT: For admission in top tier institutes like IIMS
  2. CET: For admission in state and other Institutes
  3. Private Institute exams like NMAT for admission in NMIMS, XAT for admission in XLRI etc

Next would be to clear the group discussion, followed by personal Interview.

For clearing the test, you could enrol in classes nearby your locality. Apart from that daily practice and focusing on understanding the concepts is important. In terms of group discussions, reading is a must and being able to articulate it without getting argumentative is a necessity. For PI, prepare on the basic questions asked.

Please note there are a lot many specializations available at the MBA 2 nd year. Few specilaizations includes:

  • Marketing
  • HR
  • Finance
  • Hospitality Management
  • Logistic / Supply chain management
  • Retail management
  • Advertisement
  • Pharmaceutical management
  • Entrepreneurship management.

Depending on your interest, you could choose accordingly.

Please note, MBA is a full time 2 years course, as well as available as a correspondence 3 years course. To pursue the correspondence course, one needs to be working.

Also, credits are given to students who have work experience before they pursue a fulltime MBA program.

Wish you good luck...
