Dear Student,

Ideally a subject selection in 10+1 should be done scientifically after taking into consideration the following factors:-

Self Awareness - As ,a particular set of values and personality attributes are required to do well in any career field, one should have thorough understanding of his unique profile in term of aptitude, interest and personality attributes. The best way to know about oneself is to undergo psychometric assessment.

Explore the career options- After the psychometric assessment , one should try to explore the career options which matches with his unique career profile so as to lead a happy and successful life.

Decision on Main & Alternative Career Options- As plethora of career options are available in the market and the competition tunnel is getting narrow day by day one should always have a back up plan.e.g if someone is keen to pursue engineering but somehow unable to do well in engineering entrance examination , than he should have clear idea f the other career choices which aligns with his career profile.

Stream Selection in 10+1 - After taking into consideration all of the above factors and discussion with the career expert, one should make a subject selection in 10+1.

However , if you just want to consider your love for maths & crafts as deciding factor for subject selection in 10+1 , than you can opt for a combination of fine arts & maths or PCM . The career options where you will be able to excel are :-

Architecture
Graduate Diploma in Industrial Design ( through National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad)
Bachelor of Fashion Technology
