I am PhD in Economics (to be precise Education Economics).
BA Economics is a very good under-graduate course after which you can do many good post graduation courses or opt for jobs.
I would strongly recommend that you should complete post graduation in either Economics (MA) or MBA Finance or CFA or CA or CWA. Combination of Economics with all those professional courses is fantastic career choice.
With MA Economics you can apply for jobs in banking, insurance, mutual funds, market research, analysis.
