BCA that is bachelors of Business Application is a 3 years Undergraduate course. It basically involves analysis and synthesis involved in computer systems, information systems and computer applications.
MCA is the Masters / Post graduate extension of BCA , duration of which is 3 years( Non-semester pattern). So overall the time required will be 6 years.
If you examine the scope An MCA has similar or equivalent industry opportunity as that of a B Tech in CS.Sometimes higher. However pursuing the same in correspondence wont be great idea because the experiential learning that can achieved in Classroom training cannot happen in a correspondence course.
Post MCA you are expected to be hired as a Software Eng/ Developer/ Programmer/
Technical Lead/ Project Manager.MCA is available in all the top universities in India and the admission is through academic merit and entrance Test
