Dear Dishant,

Thanks for approaching CareerGuide.com for seeking guidance about your admission and career in future.

PTU is a recognised University. Since you have already taken admission into the affiliated college of PTU, I do not feel that there is a need to join another college.

Here an important thing is, once you drop out, your one year will be wasted and in the market when you apply for job, they companies will ask questions on this and a complex situation will arise that time.

I feel, if you think that the college is good and the faculties are teaching satisfactorily, you need not listen to anybody, since if a year is wasted nobody will come to answer questions or make up that one lost year for you. I think in such a situation, you should believe yourself, judge the college and faculties by yourself and most importantly concentrate on studies and try to gain as much knowledge and good grades as possible. Since you are an under graduate, it is important for you to concentrate on studies and aim for getting good percentage. in each exam.

Also you wont get refund of the fees paid if you leave the college now. Again preparing for AIEEE and getting tensed for cut offs is not required now.

Further when you pass out from the college with the engineering degree, what you can do is to remove the negative aspect of the institute or university, you can do a Masters from a reputed college. Once you do your masters degree, there will not be a question of from where you did your graduation as far as getting a job is concerned. More over now, getting a masters degree is very essential since the industry demands advanced knowledge and also if you do your masters you will be able to earn more than normal graduates.

Lastly I feel, that you should not bother about others opinion at this point of time, and proceed towards getting education, making friends, enjoying life and learn skills and gain domain knowledge. Not every body can go to a high level and highly reputed college, so you need not feel inferior.

Try to know your strengths and work on them to make them more powerful.

Do get back in case you wish to talk to me.
