Hello My Dear Career Aspirant,

Its good to know that you are wanting to have a good work environment and there fore you are ready to do any job based on your BA English qualification. However I would like to tell you that being ready for any job is in a way good and in a way bad. Its good since your attitude is positive and its bad since you are not choosing the job based on your real talent and capabilities and background.

Before I proceed further, I would like to thank you for deciding to approach CareerGuide.com as the right career platform for getting guidance and advice for your career concern. I am sure that the experts here will be able to guide you appropriately.

Career after BA English:

BA in English literature is really a nice field.

Primarily you can get a job in the following fields based on your BA English background:

  • Steno-Typist
  • Receptionist
  • Secretary
  • Tutor
  • Teacher
  • Front Office Desk Job
  • Data Entry Operator
  • BPO Clerk positions
  • Coorindator
  • Administration Clerk / Officer

Post graduation:

I would really recommend that you become a Teacher / Lecturer. Education industry provides good work environment.

For becoming a teacher / lecturer, I would strongly recommend you to do a post graduation in English (M.A. English). Masters degree has a lot of respect and dignity in the teaching / education field.

If you choose teaching as your job, it is recommended to do Bachelor in Education (BEd) which is a mandatory qualification required for teaching in schools and junior colleges.

You can also teach in senior colleges, where you wont require BEd but passing the UGC's NET / SET exams. With this qualification you can become a Lecturer / Professor.

Work environment:

Hoping for a good work environment is good, however it cannot be assured. Whether the work environment is good or bad can only be known when you start working or by talking to the current employees of the organisation, however it is unlikely that they will tell you the real truth.

I would suggest to work on your attitude, personality and skills instead which will make you adapt to any organisation culture and environment.

Apart from job:

apart from job, you can also conduct tuitions for English language for school and college level students in your spare time as a hobby.

All the Best!
