I passsed my HSC exams this year. I have appeared and qualified for Engineering admissions. But I'm confused whether as to should I pursue Engineering (CS) or BSC in CS or BCA. I'm more interested in software application. I plan to pursue Masters abroad.

Hello Harshad,

 

Looking at the competitive scenario and at the sametime the industry demand for a full fledged and fully well knowledge or complete knowledge candidate, I would suggest pursue BCA and follow it up with an MCA.

 

BCA, is more inclined towards software, programming and applications.

 

Please note, these days corporate prefer a BCA graduate over an engineer in the software domain, because of the comprehensive nature of the job.

 

Also since you have mentioned, you wish to go abroad, it would be a bit easier with a BCA background than an engineering background.

 

Rest, the choice is yours.
