Hello dear student...

First of all thank you so much for coming to CareerGuide.com and asking your query to us realted to your education and It is our pleasure to answer your query.

Your question is whether you can take direct admission to engineering in any college of different state apart from where you did your diploma that is Maharashtra in computer engineering.

I am happy to inform you that yes of courseyou can do that, it is easy to process and you can go for computer engineering course in any college in other state. The required condition to be full filled are below mentioned by me for your kind reference.

You can go for lateral entry and you will be admitted directly in second year of engineering but for this lateral entry you need to apply for lateral entry entrance exams which is state level based exam, if you are able to score good position in this exam than you can easily take admission in engineering college of the state you desire. again it is good option as it will save one year for you

But remember IIT Indian institutes of technology do not support such lateral entries so you cannot go in IITs through lateral entries.

But if you go for normal entry process than you need to appear engineering entrance exams just like after passing twelve standard. If you are getting good score there you can go for normal engineering in any state in first year of engineering college after counselling process is over. but there competition will be more and again you need to spend one more year as you need to start from first year.

But in this normal process of entrance if you are appearing for AIEEE and getting good score you can even opt for IITs instiutes too or any other engineering collge based on score and counselling process.

Hope you got your answer after reading my explanations, and now I will suggest you to go for lateral entry to colleges who are having such options and can save your one year and first see which state you want to take admission and in which college.

Next time do mention your preferred state and college to get a more clear answer

Thank you
