If your maths is weak, then unfortunately it is of no use to think for CAT exam and getting selected for IIMs.
You can improve maths and solve questions like other people do, however those other people do not solve them by luck or being born as mathematicians. They must have practiced a lot and they also may have love for numbers, which is necessary for being a maths geek.
You can improve your maths with lot of practice since you did not have maths in your course stream earlier. This will require to spend more time that others and this means that if you are aiming for CAT 2016, then that would not be possible.
