Wow... that's a very good thinking. You wish to save your parents their money, and they wish that you become an engineer.

Firstly why have you chosen modeling as your career.
Is it purely based on the glamour world or you trying to run away from studies.

Probably your parent have seen your potential and wish you get settled in the industry with study knowledge.

Both the fields require immense struggle.
Though in media line, you need a godfather, and its an ultimate struggle.
My only suggestion is undergo an Aptitude tests, identify your strengths and then choose a career.
It will not only save time but also money.
One more thing is no problem if you wish to still pursue modeling, but before that take a look into your physique, money and your fitness.
At the same time, my advise is that its a time limited profession. The media line is always in hunt for new faces and youngsters. So a models chapter closes down somewhat sooner or later.
So advisable is first get a degree then pursue your dream as a model along with your studies.
You could opt for ARTS, whereby you would have more time for your passion. Then you could opt for BMM,since its related to media.

For you to convince your parent,it would be good if you undergo an Aptitude tests and talk in terms of studies and not just giving it up completely.

Choose wisely.
Wish you all the best....

It's understandable to feel frustrated when your passion collides with your parents' expectations. Here are some steps to approach this situation positively and try to convince your 1v1 LOL parents:

1. Understand their concerns:

  • Talk to them openly: Ask them why they are hesitant about your dreams. Are they worried about financial instability, the competitiveness of the industry, or something else? Listen to their concerns with an open mind.
  • Be empathetic: Acknowledge their fears and validate their perspective. Show them you understand their concerns and want to work together to find a solution.

2. Demonstrate your commitment and responsibility:

  • Do your research: Learn about the industry, potential career paths, and the financial realities of pursuing modelling and acting. Present a structured plan outlining your research, potential training options, and your commitment to balancing your passion with responsibilities like education or work.
  • Highlight your strengths: Share examples of your talent, experience, or any training you've already done. Showcase your dedication and passion through past projects, performances, or positive feedback you've received.
  • Emphasize financial responsibility: If their concern is financial, offer ways to contribute to your training or career costs. This could involve part-time work, scholarships, or grants you've researched.

3. Present a realistic and responsible plan:

  • Start small: Instead of demanding immediate support for a full-time career, propose starting with smaller steps like workshops, classes, or local opportunities. Prove your commitment and success at these lower levels before seeking their support for bigger endeavors.
  • Highlight alternative paths: Explore related fields like fashion, photography, or design that might appease their concerns while allowing you to express your creativity.
  • Seek outside support: Talk to guidance counselors, mentors, or professionals in the industry who can vouch for your talent and potential. Their perspectives might have an impact on your parents.

4. Communication is key:

  • Maintain open communication: Be patient and understanding throughout the process. Keep them informed about your progress, efforts, and achievements.
  • Focus on positive aspects: Emphasize the personal growth, fulfillment, and opportunities you believe come with pursuing your passion.
  • Show respect and appreciation: Thank them for their time and consideration, even if they disagree initially. Respect their decision at any stage and continue communicating respectfully.

Remember, convincing your parents might take time and effort. Be persistent, responsible, and show them your genuine passion and commitment to your dreams.
