Dear Friend ,

I do understand your interest, passion but side by side one thing also you must remember that it is a very competitive field. I am not aware even you have also not mentioned whether you are already a performing artist with some music background added with some qualification or course on music you have already done.

Regarding job , whole time employment prospects for talented and qualified artists are available in with some electronic media or other media houses and government departments of culture and public relations. Appointments are competitive and bases on performance in audition, screen-tests as well as qualifications.Talented artists / musician who have passion and flair are prerequisites of a career in the music business. Moreover performers need stamina as well as versatility , they need to be resourceful and flexible to overcome the inevitable ups and downs of the entertainment business , and composers and lyricists must be sensitive to audience moods and tastes to remain popular.

There is a world of opportunities for music artists , there`s fame and money in this profession . For those with music in their blood , go ahead and reach for the moon.

All the best .

Currently note knowing your qualifications, it is difficult to advice you anything at the moment.

If you have not completed your Graduation, you could graduate with Indian Music, or electronic engineer or sound engineer. These courses act as a back-up for you, and its not compulsory that you need to just work as a rock artists and record in others studio. Doing the above courses helps you getting into media industry, acquainted with recording studios etc. This helps you in building your contacts, and then you could meet up with lie-minded people and begin your own band.
