Coming to your query.., To become a neuro surgeon , the subjects (Physics , Chemistry , Biology ) as mains are enough at + 2 level, you don't need any other subjects apart from that. You need to clear the medical entrance test conducted by various bodies like PMT etc. and first need to complete the MBBS and internship training program after that. Then you need to complete M.S. ( in General surgery or Neuro surgery ) program and move for a super specialization ( 5 years ) program i.e. M.Ch( Neurosurgery) .

But there are other few things, that you will definitely need along the way. Are you an extremely level headed , determined, cool and calm person who can exceptionally handle stress and pressure ? very good in responding to emergencies ?have a critical and analytical bent of mind ? in built inclination towards precision ? etc....

Since Neuro surgeons work on the most delicate and complex part of the body ( Brain, spine , head and neck .. etc) , it is necessary to have good motor co ordination and optimal level of dextretity and knowledge of advanced technology as well, in addition to essential qualifications . As now a days the surgeries are performed with the help of cameras, imaging equipment's and robotic devices , one has be the best of both. The risk being very high and error acceptance is zero.

The best rewards of the job is the satisfaction you get from each successful case( life saving) and respect and demand of the neuro surgeon professionals. Dear Tripti,

You don't need other subjects do pursue medical career. You need to clarify All India Medical Entrance Test and get admission in MBBS. After MBBS, you need to do MS (Neuro-Surgery).
