Dear MCG,

I am so happy to see that you have approached CareerGuide at the right time which is of choosing the stream. I am also very happy that you are clear and have decided which course or ultimate career option you would liek to do. Interior Designing is an excellent field and its demand has been increasing ever since there has been infrastructure, housing, real estate growth in every city and village.

According to my knowledge and information, Interior Designer course are not available in degree level but only diplomas are available or PG diplomas. However this is not a problem, since the industry and employers know that Interior Designing diplomas are recognized and valid courses.

For getting admission to Interior Designing courses, you need to be minimum 12th pass. Now you can choose anything from Commerce/Arts/Science. Any 12th Pass can go for Interior Designing courses. Interior Designing courses are of two years after 12th (HSC) level.

I would recommend you to do a complete graduation in Commerce or Science or Arts (as per your inclination) and also complete Interior Designing course. Diploma and Degree from the same University can be done simultaneously.

Best Luck.
