Hello there,
Hope you are aware why students opt for distance management program.
Mainly because they are in a good position at work and do not wish to quit the job and also to enhance their skills.
Please note distance learning would mean, not attending a classroom regularly for lectures. The institute would provide you study materials at home, so you are left to study at home and there are study centres which you can approach at weekends and clarify your doubts. Also in such programs no internship or practicals are provided since students are already working. At the same time you could appear for the exams when you are prepared.
As far as admissions are concerned, few institutes conduct an entrance exam but mainly major institutes base their admissions on merit and a group discussion. Please note your work experience letter is very important.
Few names of institutes you could opt for includes: IGNOU, ICFAI, SYMBIOSIS, WELINGKAR, NIMHANS etc.
Wish you good luck...
Dear Aspirant,
If you are working already and wish to further your education, then it is fine to go for MBA distance mode. However, I would suggest that if possible for you go for part time / executive MBA programme if you live near a reputed BSchool. Else Distance mode is fine.
If you are not working and just want to have the degree for name sake then only go for distance mode. Distance mode MBA will be recongised by the companies only when you have done it along with a job. Do not expect good jobs or dream jobs if you are not working and have done MBA distance mode.
Some of the good distance MBA BSchools are: NMIMS, Symbiosis (SCDL), IGNOU.
Admission generally happens with an entrance test and interview. All are two years minimum duration programmes.
Best wishes
In order to post replies to the question: "i want to do mba in distance mode, which was the best and valued to do so,,, ? and what is the procedure to admission ?"
