Firstly good that you wish to pursue further studies.

But why then from an Open University and not from a regular University.

Though Karnataka University does show an UGC approval and recognition, so definitely the course would be recognised mostly industrial wise.
As far as higher studies are concerned you may face an issue, whereby they may take your Post graduation studies to be of a substandard recognition and few may not recognise it only.

As far as the government jobs are concerned, you may get a job, but again the promotion value would depend on the university you clear from as well as they may have different criteria for you.

Though private organizations may not give any importance to your masters degree and you would be employed only based on your Graduate degree.

So good would be if you could consider your study option and pursue from a regular university.
Then only will your hardwork in PG will be recognised.

If finances are a constraints, then best would be to work for few years, get experience and save money too.
If the organization likes your work and dedication, they may sponsor you for as masters degree.
Or else, you could opt for a correspondence course from a Regular University.
Advantage of correspondence would be that you could study as well as continue with your job.

Choice is yours.

Wish you good luck............
