Hi There,

I am confused, do you wish to get into Army or you wish to get into a prestigious job

For Short service commission, one needs to complete their training from Army center Orissa. Eligibility for which is below 24 years of age, clearing of CDSE exam conducted by UPSC and the SSB interview.
Another route is through NCC cadre.

For more information check. http://www.svce.ac.in

As far as academic is concerned, I suppose you are a 12th Science student, since you have mentioned B.tech, a course that can be pursued by a 12th PCM student.

If you do not wish to go in for an Enginnering course, being a science students some of the options you have is either continue in the Science field or shift to Comeerce or Huanities or into Designing or Media related fields.

In Science stream you could opt for:
B.Sc in:

- Micro Biology
- Biotechnology
- Botany
- Zoology
- Computer Science

Other than these, you could opt for:

  • B.Sc It / BCA
  • Physiotherapy
  • Pharmacy
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Speech therapy

In case of confusion, you can take help of the psychometric assessment that will highlight your potentials and help you further in choosing a stream.

Hope this helps you.

Wish you good luck.....

Dear Aspirant,

Minimum graduation is required to appear for SSC exams.

Therefore I would suggest that you should complete your graduation and you need not do engineering if you don't like that.

Best wishes
