I want to pursue engineering,I want details about mechanical and electronics courses ,what are their imoprtance and key differences?

I want to take this year admission to pursue B.E/B.tech,I am interested in both electronics engineering and mechanical engineering,But I want to know the differences between them, general syllabus and opportunities in creating our own enterprise in this two fields.

Interesting choice.

As such since you have already madeup your mind for engineering, I am sure you must be aware that no engineer in an industry works alone.
Generally it is a team of engineers that work and knowledge of each specialization is used to the fullest.

The choice that you have mentioned too encompasses the entire industry.

In short, look around you, right from devices at home like TV,Fridge,Computers,Telephone, Mobiles, water heater, mixers etc...what do they have in common.
Firstly they are all a machine and secondly they are all gadgets that use electrical pathways for their functioning.

I hope you now have some idea.
All machines mentioned above and all that you see around\d you, is a contribution of Mechanical engineering and the technical aspects like the circuit, the connectivity etc are apart of electronic engineering.
Not to mention but each field gives you knowledge of the other.
So as a Mechanical engineer, which we call," as the mother of engineering",encompasses all other aspects of engineering.

Mechanical engineers not only design new mechanical systems but they are also responsible for testing, manufacturing and maintaining them.
You would mainly use the idea of mechanics into manufacturing aircraft, railways, power plant equipment, medical instruments, food processors, heating and cooling systems and other complex machinery.
These were the conventional work of mechanical engineers, these remaining the same, but the role now has evolved and is touching the latest like nano technology, development of composite materials,bio-medical applications and environmental conservation.
Electronics Engineer

After B.Tech you could opt for either jobs,in any industry right from tech,to automobiles to hospitals to construction to FMCG.
Or you could look for a masters degree.
You could choose any specialization from:
  1. Thermal engineering
  2. Hydraulic engineering
  3. Aerodynamics
  4. Aeronautical designing and engineering
  5. Production engineering
  6. Mechanical Handling and automation
  7. Computer aided designing
and many more.

As far as electrical engineering is concerned as mentioned above it deals with the electrical pathways of the gadgets. All modern technologies make use of chips, transistors, fibers and optics for their functioning. and who else than a electrical engineer can be better at understanding it. You encompass major technology like satellites, telecommunication, microelectronics and so on.
Electronics Engineer

As said early every industry is now using electronics, so again your scope is vast,in terms of opportunity.
Electronic engineers are found in all industry right from Automobiles to hospitals,to FMCG, to defense to Naval industry, to construction.

Wish you all the very best...
