Is humanities with maths a good option for me? can I have a career besides IAS also in this field?

Administrative service is a top most service of the government ,it is a dream of any youth , it require lot of hard work ,focus ,patience at least 2 year sincere preparations , depends on quality of person,abilty & serious commitments . if you see the history of subjects combinations of selected candidate,you will find that , candidate belong to engineering ,maths streams are getting more favourable results than others . as for as subject combination is concerned , humanities with with maths are very good combination , depending how much you enjoy subject to to read , write & do depth analysis of your concepts .

Along with preparation of subjects , you should focus more on reading , magazine , articles in paper, competitivemagazineslike CSR , Manorama year books , news papers , issues related to national interestetc.. youshould also join a reputed conching centre ,that will give a better study environments , lot ofstudy materials & time to time self assessment series ,so that you can assess your position & improve time to time
the level of examination is very tough & unpredictable . a candidate ,who usually prepare for preliminary . usually, he spent 8 -10 month for preparingpreliminary ,.it has been seen that the candidate preparing mains level toclear the preliminary. if his level of preparation is below main ,then it will bedifficult to passpreliminaryexams ..
