If there's one industry that is booming across the world - it has to be technology, And when it comes to computer technology, the scope gets even bigger. There can be two reasons that you are looking for a Masters degree. Either you want to get in depth of Computer Science and are more inclined towards research. Or you want to get a better job. In both cases the Masters degree would be quite helpful. A lot will depend on your specialization in M.Tech./M.S.

Let me explain you the opportunities in the field of Computer Engineering after your Masters degree:

Web Technologies:These are generally front end technologies. You will most likely be working with CSS/HTML. The value of JavaScript should not be underestimated. In terms of job opportunies, there are so many both in India and abroad.

Mobile Technologies:Mobile technologies have come up with some really interesting innovations. The smartphones have created a new possibility to work on developing new apps and design them. If you want to work on such cool stuff, you will have plenty of opportunities.

Distributed Systems:The data is expanding every day and all the big internet giants - Google, Facebbok, Amazon, Yahoo are looking to manage this data. If you are working in the large scale data processing systems, you will get more and more job options in the coming future.

Algorithms:If you are good at Maths and interested in Algorithms, you are one of the most sought after professionals in the Computer Industry. You can work in Machine Learning, and even in big corporate banks.

Enterprise Software:Most of the Indian IT companies work on Enterprise Software. It may sound boring to few professionals who have had interesting experience as a programmer but in terms of comfort and work life balance, certain professionals prefer them.

Technology Consultants:More diversified options are available if you have done your Masters in Information Systems or Information Management. In that case you can go for big shot consulting firms which pay well too.
