Hi,

First of all let me tell you that University matters the most, but if its a deemed University then the college name and its reputation matters the most.Above everything its the marks which matters the most .

As far as the recruitment is concerned the bigger companies have the criteria of minimum 60% marks.Below that they don't entertain. You can give aptitude test if you have scored less than that and opt for smaller companies.

Besides the University or the college and the percentage a lot will depend on other skills, aptitude, and attitude.

As they say that success is determined by Knowledge, Skills, attitude and aptitude.

The above information collectively focuses on the interpersonal skills of a Electrical Engineer.Interpersonal skill are the life skills we use every day to communicate with other people, both individually and in groups.People who have worked on developing strong interpersonal skills are usually more successful in both professional and personal lives.

Staff with strong interpersonal skills is what employers seek to hire. They want people who will work well in a team and be able to communicate effectively with colleagues, customers and clients.Interpersonal skills include-

- Verbal communication- What we say and how we say.
- Non-verbal communication- What we communicate without words and body language.
- Listening skills-How we interpret both the verbal and non verbal messages sent by others.
- Negotiation-Working with others to find a mutually agreeable out come.
- Problem Solving- Working with others to identify, define and solve problems.
- Decision making- Exploring and analyzing options to make sound decisions.

Electrical engineers are required in all manufacturing units, manufacturing plants, electricity board,Power corporations, Hydroelectric Sector , Design industries, Production plants, Natural gas plants, Petroleum,Steel,Chemical Plants. Educational and research organizations hire electrical engineers as graduate engineer trainee to work on research projects.

So do not worry about which college you have studied from but work on your attitude and interpersonal skills and move with full confidence.Success will be yours.
