As from your question what I understand is:

1. You wish to know the scope of Civil engineering, job prospects???
2. Further studies???

If you have just appeared for 10th, then you would have to apply for science stream (PCM), physics and math is a must to study engineering.
Post 12th, you would have to clear various entrance exams like IIT-JEE, CET,etc and secure admission into either B.Tech or B.E.

Unorganised Sector
Construction has diversified from mere sand homes to high rise cemented structures. So the main job of a civil engineer includes providing the structure.
You are mainly involved in the plan, design and supervision of the construction of building or any other project.

The credit of smooth road functioning, highways, irrigation projects, dams, malls, high rise building, hydrolic plants airport terminals and runways etc.

As such you can get a job either in a government firm or private organization depending on your interests.

You would be working hand-in-hand with other engineers. Mainly your work deals with supervision, so you would require good analytic skills, minute observation, ability to foresee, brainstorming, creative and innovative ideas, and good communication and team player skills.
Unorganised Sector

Some of the Branches of Civil Engineering includes:
  1. Constructionengineer:They are mainly involved inroadways, highways, rail and road andairportconstruction.Mainly involved in planning, budgeting, scheduling, quality control and assurance etc.
  2. Hydraulic Engineer: Involved in development of water bodies like water plants, dams, irrigationmethods, navigational canalsreservoirsand so on
  3. Coastal and ocean engineering: As the name suggests they are mainly into the coastaldevelopment, erosion andsoon.
  4. Material engineering: Mainly deals with quality control and providing of well maintained materials needed for construction which includes cement, concrete, alloys and metal scraps, polymers and paints
  5. Structural engineer: They are mainly involved in analyzing different stresses a structure could take before and after itsconstruction
  • Environmental engineering: They aremainlyinvolved in environmental safety and protection as they are theneed of the hour. They have to develop strategies to protect the environment from land, water and air pollution. They manage issues like waste management, water treatment, air pollution treatments and soon...

Please note that few of them like construction and environmental engineering is also provided as a separate graduation field as well as the masters level program.
You would have to choose,as during your graduation in civil engineering you would study of all the above engineering in gist, thereby in masters you could decide which one you would like to specialize in.

Wish you all the very best....
