Hi,

It is quite an interesting question. I really appreciate your determination and dedication to work in the field and as a Psychologist.

5 years is considerably a good time to have a good grounding in the subject and also in the application of your skill set in the same.
But how much you progress in it will purely depend on how much Hard Work you put in the same.
Also practicing as a Psychologist will pay you diffidently in different fields. So ultimately it depends in the area you work. For example if you work in a School as a School Psychologist or as a counselor you would be payed depending on the criterion of the VIth pay commission and and even your Hike will be dependent on the same. If you work in an organization then you pay will be dependent of your skills and your performance and you are also free to change your job anytime you want.
If you work as a Clinical Psychologist you will be asked to perform differently and also the norms are different.
Working as a freelancer will require different skills and your growth will be different in this area.
One thing is sure that no matter the work you are doing you will definitely undergo a lot of Personal Growth and you will definitely evolve in your work.
You Personal Growth will determine your success and growth in your professional life as well be it in terms of your salary or recognition or praise.
So if you want success and growth in professional life the personally you will have to evolve and come out of ones own frame of comfort.
Strive to gain control of self and then success will follow.
Also try and upgrade yourself and your knowledge in the same field that will help you a lot.

Best Wishes!
