May I ask you what are your current qualifications? I see you want to start a career in fashion designing? Do you have related qualifications in starting such a career? I ask you because, you have not mentioned any such on your question. The better I understand your qualifications and current position, the better I could propose guidance to you. I hope you understand that. But I can still offer you guidance in more generalised way.
 
Fashion designing is a growing and glowing industry due to the glamourous world attached to it. It has a great potential in India. Any career you pursue has growth opportunities, but it truly depends on the person and the self approach they take. So I would say you can see high growth opportunities in this industry. To support your career growth opportunities, you can follow many strategies.
 
1. A complement course in fashion designing: If you are currently studying in school then you can consider studying BSc degree in fashion designing. If you have already studied a BSc, then you may consider doing a second BSc in fashion designing. In this case you can take the lateral entry route and directly enter the second year of BSc Fashion designing.
 
2. Else you can also do certificate and Diploma courses that range from minimum 3 months to 1 year. You can also approach fashion designing training institutes and use the training they offer. Completing the training you will get a certificate and it may be useful in your long term career.
 
3. Also consider doing some freelancing opportunities as a freelancer, you contact many people and reach for better opportunities
.
 
4. More networking, try networking with other fashion designers to better understand their work and produce competitive products. Your networking will also help you yield close contacts with leading fashion designers and this will grow your opportunities in your career.
 
5. Set up your own clothing design shop/studio: This requires considerable money investment but gives you great rewards. The more your design attracts, price attracts, you could get back the money invested.
 
Pursue the above strategies to see success in career. But please understand just getting a degree and job alone will not be sufficient to see yourself big after 5 years. Hope this helps.
