Hi,Psychology is an extremely interesting subject to study. It is a study of how people behave. Now a days it has become of the most sought after courses.I would say that if you are interested you should definitely go for and study the same. But if you are not then do not go for it otherwise it will be very hard for you to even study it.There are certain traits that are required to become a psychologist like:1. A general interest in people is a must in short you should be a social person 2. You should have sympathy for others and loads of patience3. You should be good in controlling your emotions 4. Should have great communication skills5. Possess ability not to connect oneself with others If you possess these pre requisitive traits then you will definitely become a good Psychologist. As far as scope in Psychology is concerned then would like to tell you that now-a-days Psychologists are hired in all areas of work like in organizations, hospitals, schools, colleges, NGO's, forensic departments, government agencies, rehabilitation centers depending on the specialization of the individual. As far as stressful job is concerned it will also depend on your specialization and skills. In today's times all jobs are stressful, successful people are those who know how to handle work pressure effectively. And most importantly if you do not know how to handle your own work then how will you teach it to others. So you need not worry, the more experienced you become the lesser the stress. If you have interested in the subject then you should definitely go for it.You can feel free to ask further questions!Good Luck

Dear akash,
First of all i want to clear one thing no doubt an IAS officier serves his country with full devotion but it doesn't mean a person with MBA degree looking after his faimly buisness is not serving his country because ultimately he or she is supporting country's economy.Anyways both fields are different and both require different types of preperation.First of all you have sit down calmly and think that which field you really want to go in , remember that the field you choose now, may be you have to work in it for next 30-35 years .
IAS officer deals with administrative responsibility and it is a job which makes you feel that you have power in your hand which can be rightfully used.Furthur for giving IAS exam you have study very hard although nothing is impossible so you can crack it with sincere efforts.Secondly entry in Management courses is comparitively easy nowdays until and unless you are aiming for IIM's or other top colleges After completing MBA you can go for private/public sector job or if you wish you can look after your faimly buisness. But this all depends that what you really want to do neither I or anyone else will be able to take decision for you it's only you who can take the decision. But once you take the decision you have to back it up with your full efforts whatever happens or whatever anyone says. You have to produce excellent result from whatever field you choose.
Best of luck ........may be this dicussion will help you in reaching to some decision.Feel free to reply incase you want to discuss more.take care
