Hello Virkam,

Once again a warm welcome to CareerGuide.com

I hope you got the complete information for the earlier query asked by you related to the same career.

Well i have given you a brief idea about the scope of leather industry in the nearby future in India.

Leather industry is being divided into four major sections,which are as follows-

Footwear;
Garment;
Goods and Accessories;
Tanning

India is the second most country in the production of Leather Footwear and Garments after China in the world. Every year 2 crore 65 lakh leather footwears and 180 lakh units of leather garments are manufactured. Whereas in Tanning their is around 2 billion Sq.ft production in India.

Whereas as discussed in the earlier answer the Leather Industry is going to have a good scope in the future. So the career growth is good in both Footwear and Garments . Their is high demand of Indian Leather and its goods in the foreign countries. India exports a huge quantity of Leather and its goods to the European countries.See where your true interest lies and according to that make a career.

In order to make a career in Leather Industry you need to complete your std.12th from any stream and after that you can apply for Under Graduate Program and after that one can apply for the Post Graduation Course.Whereas National Skill Development Centre -NSDC also offers the courses in Leather;they have planning to train around 2 lakh students every year and it also offers placement to the candidates.

So on completion of the UG or PG course you can have a successful career in the Leather Industry.

I hope you find this information useful and helpful.

Feel free to get in touch again.

Wish you Good Luck.

Thank You

Warm Regards,
