I want to be an architect....... in interior designing.... is this a good career...... from NID .......
Hello Dear Friend,That sounds good that you have been thinking to get into such a profession which is very creative, skill based and prestigious career. But let me clarify you one thing that Architecture and Interior Designing are two different things though they are two sides of one coin. Both professions have different working profiles.Architecture: The art or practice of designing and constructing buildings.Interior Designer: Its a profession that combines creativity, technical knowledge and business skills. ans346492062826955.jpg1920x1200 150 KB So if you see both the professions have different approaches in terms of work. The former profession works for planning and designing of Buildings while the latter works for designing the interiors of the buildings using creativity and technology. Some of the aspects do come in architecture of interior designing but not all aspects come. So while pursuing Architecture you will not get any specialised degree with interior design. So you have to decide whether you want to go for Architecture or Interior designing. You can do 1 thing you can take a degree in Architecture while simultaneously you can go for some certificate/diploma course in interior designing for deep knowledge which will be adding feature to you for your career growth. While talking about is it good or not ; well definitely both the professions have a great demand both in and out of the country giving you an innumerable opportunities.Sky is the Limit for skill based, creative candidates. And if you are pursuing your degree from one of the top most institute like NID(National Institute of Design) than you have very good opportunities through campus placements. The students also get placed in foreign Corporates through campus.Earlier talking about Architecture this profession was not considered to be a good profession for girls due to the labour work is involved and also one has to visit sites from time to time. SO architecture is considered not a good profession. But now the scenario has changed there has been a steady growth with regards to girls choosing architecture as their career. Definitely this profession is also good for girls nowadays apart from Interior Designing. So decide and think which career you want to go for and go for it.Hope find the information helpful.Wish you good luck.feel free to get in touch.Thank youWarm regardsPrathamesh K.
Both the fields - Architecture and Interior Designing - are good for girls.
Architecture and Interior Designing are separate courses. Architecture is a Bachelors/Masters Degree course where as Interior Designing is a Diploma course.
I would suggest that you can do both, but Architecture is the best and then you can do diploma in interior designing.
