Hello Sagar,

Archaeology is the study of ancient artefacts or history and or remains.

So if the study is about the past, which we call as History, so Yes you need to have studied History.

Knowing Historical facts would help you in your research about the place and its culture, helping you delve more in details.

If you are interested in Archeology, then either change your college to where they have history or directly approach the University and you by all yourself, study and appear for the history paper on your own.

Hope this helps.

Wish you good luck..
