Dear Aspirant,

Firstly, I do not think that shifting from Electronics to Computer Science MTech is possible. If it is there in any University, then that would be definitely a fine career decision. Hope you wish to make a long term career in Information Technology  / Computers.

Apart from Computer Science, you may also take up MCA after Engineering and also do certain certifications like MCSE, CCNA, etc. to make your resume valuable as a fresher.

But please twice sure that you wish to shift. Again shifting back in future is risky and will cost your years and efforts and money.

Best wishes

Hello gagan,

Interesting question. Since you have mentioned moving from electronics to computers, you might have researched and know institutes that allow this shift. My search did not reveal this shift. So I am sorry but an M.TECH in computer science after electronics is not possible.

My question is why this change all of a sudden. Do a certification in IT and join the IT industry as an electronics engineer. And if you still feel an interest in IT, then pursue an MCA

Wish you good luck...
