Clinical Research is a Research oriented field. Here the researcher, takes samples and experiments with them on animals followed by human trials. It is mostly done for development in terms of medicines in the market.
Now once the research is done, the benefits as well as disadvantages of the medicines have to be made known to Medical professionals, before any doctor recommends it to their patient. Here steps in the Medical Transcriptor or Medical writer.
