Hi

MBA is a degree course which can be only awarded by any UNIVERSITY. Whereas PGDM is diploma courses offered by institutes. As per UGC rule only a University can award degree. But PGDM of top institutes like IIM's , ISB and others are equivalent to MBA degree.



And there is not such rule as mentioned by you in any management entrance exam....
