BCA stands for the bachelor in computer application. BCA is three-year graduation degree course normally for those students who wish to gain knowledge of supercomputer languages and after that who wants to join software companies. It is a technical degree that prepares students for a career in the field of computer applications and software development.

Once you complete your BCA, you may get jobs in private companies like TCS, SYNTEL, HCL, etc and government jobs after the BCA are civil services like IAS, Indian army, and railway jobs. Yes, there is an entrance exam for admission in BCA. This exam is conducted in the month of May. Anyone who has passed 12th with a minimum of 50% marks in total with a pass in English and mathematics or computer science.

Planning Strategy:

  • Make a proper time table: most essential thing is to create a time table and go after it accurately so that you are aware of time supervision and how much time to give to your subjects.
  • Always understand the concepts: you should have an understandable idea of the formulas and concepts rather than learning stuff. It is vital that your nuts and bolts should be comprehensible.
  • Make a habit of making notes: it is a good way of learning things and will become very trouble-free at the time of revision. Be habitual and make notes in advance only.
  • You can take guidance from a teacher: not everything can be arranged on your own, so it’s better to take help from a tutor or professor. You can join training class as it will help you to avoid difficulty later on.
  • Sample papers: it is important to exercise earlier years question paper, despite the fact that the blueprint changes but you will have a slight idea about the questions which will come up in your paper.
  • Mock tests: mock test is something which checks the abilities of the student. It helps in building speediness and confidence in the student, also they can progress their routine to get extra marks in actual exams.
  • Time management: it is important to rehearsal again and again; it will help you in managing time well.

The other way you can prepare for BCA exam is by getting an RS Aggarwal book for quantitative aptitude and interpretation or Arihant’s book for supercomputer knowledge. Also, books of Arun Sharma are good. Basically focus on computers, general knowledge and up to date affairs. Also focus on logic, English knowledge and comprehension and maths.
