My question to you here is Why do you wish to switch fields at this stage???
You are a highly qualified individual and I am sure you have based your decision to pursue masters with a specific goal in mind.At the same time 2.5 years is too soon to give up working and switch over.There is a lot more to learn and get experience.
I would suggests take a break, get some certifications done to get yourself updated and then apply to another company and try getting experience.
But in-case still you decide to switch careers, then please note that you would have to start all over again.Your experience and qualification gets nullified.
Rather move ahead in your career itself. You could opt for courses like Project management, SAP, MBA etc.
Rather than starting all over, pursue an MBA in any field as per your interests and join at the managerial level.
