• You should first of all decide which specialisation you wish to pursue in MBA and according to that list the institutes that offers the MBA specialisation in your subject.
• After listing the Institutes check which entrance exams scores they accept or do they have their own institutes entrance exam.
• Go through the syllabus of the entrance examination.
• Make sure that you are really good with your basics of Quantitative Aptitude,Verbal Aptitude,Logical Reasoning etc. For having good basics refer the school books from grade 5th to 10th and practice them as much as you can.
• Solve the previous years question papers.
• Give a check in which area of examination you are good at and where you are weak . For Eg. If your Verbal Aptitude is good and Quantitative Aptitude is weak than in this case make sure that your Verbal Reasoning is done well in Exam and score all the marks while for quantitative you can develop your own strategies that will help you in the exam like using Vedic Maths/Mental Maths Techniques.
• Develop your Interpersonal Skills and also your communication skills because these also do matter a lot while getting admitted in a good institute and very strictly checked.
• Go through the reference books that are available in the market.
• Have your updated resume.
• Solve the papers with clock in order to get a good command for Time Management.

Well, apart from good academic performance, you need to clear CAT or other entrance exam, leadership skills and communication skills.

Entrance exam:
You need to prepare systematically for competitive exam like CAT. As of now, you need persistent efforts, systematic preparation for gain knowledge in the area relevant to general knowledge and management. You need knowledge in following domains :
General knowledge
Problem solving ability
Research methodology
Management principles

Leadership skills:
Leadership is quality that is admired in management students. You need demonstrate leadership skills in group discussion. For this you need analytic and interpersonal skills to put across your point in a group and convince the group.

Communication skills:
Apart from knowledge, communication skills are very important skills that you need to get into best school as well as for the survival in the industry.
