My choice is MCA. It is more comprehensive and the MCA students are treated equivalent to B.Tech (Comp. Sci) students.

Dear Candidate,
It is always better to do MCA after doing BCA because both of them almost teaches you about INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY.As we know BCA course provides professional knowledge in programming languages like C, C++, and Java etc as well as MCA is master's course , which is intended to provides students with advances technical skill like software development, algorithm design, programming language and other subject related to IT.
After the MCA course you get jobs under technical profile such as software Developers/Engineer, Web Developers/Designing.It is the best choice to get high salary package in big organizations.

After BCA/MCA Career Program:

After bca opt for MCA or either you can do MBA in IT too...but dont go for M.Sc.
It depends upon your percentage and entrance test if you have given for any university.. Few universities offers good scholarship too like lovely professional university, VIT, GNDU and thapar

Dear Aspirant,

MCA would be the best choice. Don't go for MBA IT.

After BCA, MCA would be a best natural progression. Ensure that you are proficient in compauter languages too to get a job opportunity in MCA placements.

Best wishes

If you have done B.Sc then go for M.Sc, if you have dont BCA then join MCA. Although both are recognized equally for a job in IT company, but i prefer MCA as it is particularly focus on software related fields.
Inspite of all these if you choose some top college it would be of great benefit in your career as well as in placements. Try to take admission in Christ University, Lovely Professional University, Xavier Institute.

Best of luck...

Dear Aspirant,

All counselors answered your query. I will try to provide alternate perspective that may help you take informed decision.

MCA course focused on computer application and software development. MCA is ideal course who wants to make career in Software industry. This is applied course and suitable for those who want to work in IT industry. A person with MCA can work as a Software Programmer, Software Engineer, Software Developer, Systems Analyst, Software Application Architect, and Software Consultant in IT industry.

MSc in Computer Science covers theoretical aspects of hardware and software along with logic & algorithm. The course provides an excellent grounding for further research, either through PhD study or in a commercial setting. A person who has done MSC computer science will have opportunities in academic institutions, and research division of software development companies. To work in academics as assistant professor/lecturer, one need to clarify National Eligibility Test for Assistant Professor.

Now you need to decide, which option is better for you, service oriented applied course (MCA) or research oriented course (MSc).

Hope this is helpful. If your query is not resolved, feel free to revert back

Best Wishes for Your Bright Career,
